2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide, information created through your use of SET, and limited technical information needed to operate and secure the service.

• Account information: your email address, account identifier, authentication status, and related account records. Authentication providers process your password; we do not receive your password in plain text.
• Project content: film titles, ideas, scripts, notes, scenes, shots, storyboard material, cast or crew details, uploaded media, timeline edits, project settings, and rendered outputs.
• AI feature inputs and outputs: prompts, project context you choose to send, generated suggestions, and related operational records when you use an AI-assisted feature.
• Support communications: messages and information you send when asking for help or reporting a problem.
• Technical and usage information: standard server logs, device or browser information, IP address, timestamps, request diagnostics, and security or rate-limit events. SET uses browser storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in and preserve necessary session state.

3. How we use information

• Provide, maintain, personalize, and improve SET.
• Authenticate accounts, save projects, process uploads, and create requested renders.
• Generate AI-assisted film-planning or creative suggestions when you request them.
• Respond to support requests and send essential account or service messages.
• Protect SET, enforce usage limits, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and comply with law.

4. How information is shared

We do not sell personal information and do not use your project content for targeted advertising. We share information only as needed for the following purposes:

• Service providers: companies that provide hosting, authentication, database, storage, rendering, email, security, and AI-processing services. Current infrastructure includes Vercel and Supabase, and AI processing may be provided by OpenAI or Anthropic depending on the feature and service configuration.
• Legal and safety reasons: when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or respond to lawful requests.
• Business changes: as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
• At your direction: when you choose to download, export, publish, or otherwise share your own work.

5. AI-assisted features

When you use an AI-assisted feature, SET sends the text and project context needed to complete that request to an AI service provider. Do not submit confidential information or third-party material that you are not authorized to use. AI results can be incomplete or inaccurate, so review them before relying on or publishing them.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain account and project information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide SET, maintain backups, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by data type and operational need. To request deletion of your account or personal information, contact help@myfilmset.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so you are responsible for using a strong password, protecting your sign-in details, and contacting us if you believe your account has been compromised.

8. Your choices and rights

You may update certain project information in SET and may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information. Depending on where you live, local law may provide additional rights, including the right to object to or restrict certain processing and the right to appeal a denied privacy request.

9. International processing

SET and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those locations may have different data-protection laws than your home jurisdiction.

10. Children’s privacy

SET is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to SET, contact us so we can review and remove it where required.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as SET changes. We will post the revised version here and update the effective date. When a change is material, we may also provide an additional notice through SET or by email.
